Gaia Dynamics, a provider of an AI-driven platform designed to simplify global trade compliance, raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding from AI Fund and Zenda VC.
The startup plans to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Gaia Dynamics combines artificial intelligence with deep industry expertise to streamline trade for customs brokers, consultants, and brands. Its AI platform addresses critical challenges in tariff classification, regulatory compliance, and supply chain optimization in an increasingly complex global landscape.
“AI will streamline global trade,” said Andrew Ng, Managing General Partner of AI Fund. “Through Gaia Dynamics, businesses can simplify the mind-bogglingly complex process of complying with trade regulations. Emil and team’s work will help businesses navigate global commerce.”
Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Gaia Dynamics is led by Emil Stefanutti, founder and CEO, the former founder and CEO of ContractRoom, and Tom Gould, chief strategy and compliance officer, who brings expertise from his roles on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee and as a former vice president of global customs and trade at Flexport.
