Cortex, a San Francisco-based company specializing in tools for engineering productivity, secured $60 million in Series C funding.
The funding round was led by Scale Venture Partners, with additional investment from World Innovation Labs, Cross Creek, Alpha Square Group, Stripe founders Patrick and John Collison, IVP, Sequoia, and Y Combinator.
Cortex develops an Internal Developer Portal that helps engineering teams manage and improve their software. By integrating with commonly used tools, Cortex enables teams to catalog and monitor services, APIs, ML models, and other resources while tracking standards like code quality and security compliance. Its solutions are created to streamline development processes and ensure consistent software quality.
With fresh funds, Cortex plans to enhance its platform, including better workflows, improved engineering intelligence features, and advancements in AI capabilities. The company also plans to grow its operations and broaden its reach within the industry.
