Pet Care Startup Traini Lands $7.5M in New Funding

Traini, a Palo Alto-based startup secured $7.5 million in a new funding round to accelerate the development of what it calls the “world’s first cognitive pet wearable.”

Traini is a pet-tech startup developing the world’s first human-dog “language” translation device built on generative AI, aiming to enable real-time, two-way emotional communication between pets and humans. Its technology goes beyond dog’s activity monitoring to foster a true “spiritual bond”.

Traini is already working with nearly 40,000 local pet stores across the U.S. To date, the startup has served over 2 million dogs.

Banyan Tree, Silver Capital, ZhaoTai Group, and NYX Ventures co-led the latest investment round with participation from Starting Gate Fund, Jade Capital, Tao Foundation, Feng Hong (Xiaomi Co-founder), Starting Gate Fund, Jade Capital, and renowned tech investors including VPs from NVIDIA, Julian Qian (Member of technical staff at Anthropic), Weihe Zheng (Founding Partner, Cowin Capital), Jia He (Founding Partner, Nanshan Capital), Peter Xu (CEO, Plug and Play China), and Zach Zhang (Founding Partner, Edgewater Investments). 

Following this round of financing, Traini will launch its first smart hardware product—the world’s first cognitive pet wearable, the Cognitive Smart Collar.

More recently, Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer secured $8 million in seed funding for her new AI startup, Dazzle AI. With fresh funds, Dazzle AI plans to expand its team and prepare for its next generation AI personal assistant product in the coming months.
