Sirona Medical, a provider of cloud-based workflow management software for radiology practices, raised $42 million in Series C funding.
Avidity Partners led the investment round with participation from other existing investors, including 8VC, and GreatPoint Ventures.
With fresh funds, Sirona Medical intends to further scale up the capabilities of its RadOS platform that unifies existing radiology IT software applications — the worklist, viewer, reporter, and AI — onto a single cloud-native platform.
In the official announcements, Cameron Andrews, founder of Sirona Medical said: “We are entering the next phase in the company’s maturity and ability to deliver our next-generation solution to a broader audience while supporting the success of every customer.”
Including the latest funding round, Sirona Medical has raised more than $100 million in equity funding to date.
In 2011, Sirona Medical announced $40 million in Series B financing, bringing the total capital raised to more than $60 million. The funding round was led by GreatPoint Ventures and joined by Rose Park Advisors and Avidity Partners, with additional participation from previous investors including 8VC and Global Founders Capital.
