Tewke raises £2.6 million in Seed funding

Tewke, a climate technology company based in London, raised £2.6 million in seed funding to expand its efforts in creating smarter energy solutions for homes.

While the investors behind this funding round were not disclosed, the funding for startups highlights growing interest in innovative energy-saving technologies.

Founded in 2020 by Piers Daniell, Tewke focuses on developing technology that integrates seamlessly into any home, enabling a “smart grid” to optimize energy usage and generation. The startup takes pride in its in-house innovations, including its proprietary electronics and the Tewke OS™, a custom operating system that ensures energy savings and improves user experiences.

Purpose of Funding

The fresh funding will allow Tewke to:

  1. Enhance its energy control platform: Tewke plans to make its platform even more efficient, enabling automated energy-saving solutions suitable for all homes.
  2. Accelerate market entry: With its technologies ready for deployment, the company aims to refine its go-to-market strategies to reach more users quickly.
  3. Grow its software team: A key focus will be on developing its neuro-symbolic AI systems, which are designed to push energy optimization further.

Tewke has also benefited from support through the UK Innovate program, including funding from the UK Net Zero Pre-Commercialisation Support Fund and recognition with the Housing Digital Innovation Award.
