You.com raises $50 million in Series B funding to enhance its AI productivity tools

Palo Alto-based AI productivity company You.com has raised $50 million in its Series B funding round, bringing its total funding to date to $99 million.

Georgian led the investment round with participation from Gen Digital, Salesforce Ventures, NVIDIA, SBVA (formerly SoftBank Ventures Asia), DuckDuckGo, and Day One Ventures.

Founded by Richard Socher and Bryan McCann, You.com develops AI-powered tools designed to boost productivity for knowledge workers. The company offers advanced AI agents that help users conduct research, solve problems, and create content efficiently. Key tools include:

  • Research Agent: Conducts in-depth searches, analyzes sources, and delivers comprehensive reports.
  • Genius Agent: Solves complex problems using Python and advanced reasoning.
  • Custom Agent: Enables users to build AI agents tailored to specific tasks, integrating models from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta.

With fresh funds, You.com intends to further scale up its operations and development efforts, and advance its AI capabilities and tools, including creating more custom AI agents and enabling businesses to seamlessly integrate AI into their workflows through You.com’s APIs.

Since its launch in November 2021, You.com has handled over 1 billion queries and grown its user base across industries, including hedge funds, tech startups, and large enterprises. With a 500% increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR) since January 2024, the company is rapidly establishing itself as a leader in AI productivity solutions.
